Combination binding machines allow you to use both comb and wire binding elements with one machine. These machines are especially popular with schools and copy shops. Combination binding machines use Spiral-O wire. This type of wire uses the same 19-hole punching format that comb binding uses (along an 11-inch sheet of paper). Combination binding machines have a comb opener/closer and include a wire closer. These machines eliminate the need for two machines and take up little space.
